A Perfect Pittsburgh Love Story

Sometimes, it’s simply about location, location, location. Christina and Dale, both Pittsburgh-area natives, worked in the same building (but at different companies). After Dale invited Christina to a morning coffee, the date took a rest-is-history-type twist that led to a joyous wedding celebration on September 10, 2016. The couple discovered something special about Kimpton Monaco Pittsburgh from the moment they walked in and first admired the hotel’s classic details juxtaposed against modern touches. They found the planning process effortless, thanks to Kristen Stewart, who remained “on top of every email and every detail” throughout the couple’s year-and-a-half engagement.

Memorable Details

On the date of the wedding, Christina spent the day getting ready in a suite with her mom and bridal party before the couple met for a rooftop “first look,” intimate moments that they deem a highlight. The ceremony took place in the foyer between the ballrooms, the cocktail hour on the rooftop, dinner in one ballroom and dancing in the other.

Memorable Details

Flowers from Mt. Lebanon Floral beautified the spaces, and the bride wore a gown designed by Houghton and purchased from Glitter and Grit Bridal Boutique. At the end of a “truly amazing day,” the newlyweds retreated to the Monaco’s Emperor Suite.
