It’s good to be downtown
You've heard the old phrase, "Home is where the heart is." Well, we wore it like a badge on our sleeve when we built the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh right across from the prestigious Mellon Square Park, smack dab in the center of Downtown Pittsburgh. Colloquially referred to as the Golden Triangle, Downtown is the convergence of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers. It's also the place where people come together, whether it is at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, sporting venues or Pittsburgh's Cultural District, a fourteen-square-block area that features art galleries, restaurants and retail shops. There are also seven — count 'em, seven — world-class theatres, consistently packed with lovers of music, opera, ballet and more. Oh, and did we mention we're right along the T, Pittsburgh's light rail? When it comes to hotels in downtown Pittsburgh, living on the edge can be fun, but staying in the heart of it all is love.
