Dan & Jessica

Counting on bliss

When Jessica and Dan met at their first post-college job at a regional public accounting firm, the connection quickly added up to l-o-v-e. The CPAs, who now live and work in Pittsburgh, knew they wanted the celebration to take place in the town they adore.

The pair toured the ballroom while the hotel was still under construction; they booked immediately, after falling in love with the quirky, luxury experience the hotel offered. They credit the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh’s team for creating “the best day ever,” calling the food delicious and the space unique and elegant.

Memorable Details

On the morning of the wedding, the bride and bridesmaids got ready in the Emperor Suite, which they found to be the perfect place to relax, get ready and take pre‐ceremony photos. Jessica says, "It felt like home, and it was for the weekend! It was so nice getting our hair and makeup done in our matching BedHead pajamas in such a gorgeous suite!"

"The hotel is beautiful and unique—just what Pittsburgh needed. The staff was exceptional. Everyone went above and beyond five stars."

The ceremony took place at St. Paul Cathedral, followed by the reception back at the Monaco. The duo comments, "Greg Sgro and his team at Hotel Monaco did a great job and really contributed to the perfect wedding day."

Special details that elevated the event included photography by Araujo Photography tunes by DJ Modern Era, late-night snacks, a champagne toast table, a signature cocktail, fruits in champagne flutes and a farewell brunch in the Rialto Suite the next morning. On the honeymoon night, the couple slept in the Emperor Suite before jetting off to Bora Bora.

Special thanks to Araujo Photography for capturing these moments
